Nīra (नीर) ~ | pure water | clarity | freshness

Philosophy ~

Welcome to Nīra Studios, where “Nīra" is woven into every aspect of the featured treatments. We offer tailored Japanese therapeutic facial massage sessions and body-led coaching in a pop-up studio and online.

In the rich tapestry of the Sanskrit language, the word "Nīra" holds a serene meaning. Derived from ancient texts and used in various contexts, "Nīra" translates to "water." Water is essential for life, symbolizing purity, life, and tranquility. It represents clear, flowing streams, the gentle ripples of a serene lake, and the nourishing rains that sustain the earth.

Water symbolizes the fluidity of emotions, the flow of time, and the continuity of life. It symbolizes cleansing, renewal, and the cyclical nature of the universe.

About the Founder ~

Growing up in the Baltics, I ran barefoot in the woods and swam in the lakes till the sun was down. Sensing that connection to the body and nature is essential was always present within. Yet it was through lived experiences and several teachings that led me to the embodied life.

Navigating substantial emotional journeys in my twenties and early thirties was marked by body exhaustion and its natural rhythm disbalance. Gradual and consistent self-inquiry and work brought me to the now, where the body and feminine nature are the source of ultimate intelligence. I shifted into specializing in organic complementary body therapies and have worked with people through touch and movement since.

In my body work, I combine my training in classic psychology, embodiment therapies, and Eastern massage philosophies. The approach is a living being that grows and shapes with time and intuition, replacing perfection and rigidity with honesty, transparency, and safety.

With love,

Ieva
